Affordable Housing: Come Rain or Shine

Three volunteers work together to initiate the first phases of framing a home in the cold, damp winter weather. Habitat for Humanity Portland/Metro East hosts more than 8,000 volunteers every year-- they work on-site, year-round helping build sustainable and affordable homes for families in need. (2/2/2019)



With a budget of more than $29M, this Habitat affiliate receives funding from a wide variety of sources including in-kind donation of materials from corporations and individuals alike. Unfortunately, these are vulnerable to thieves who often break locks stealing items ranging from hammers and generators to vehicles. (2/5/2019)
